World.....Meet Jackson Guthy!!!

Jackson Guthy is an aspiring singer-songwriter and while he's only 15 years of age, this kid is well on his way to a successful career. He has been writing songs since the age of 7 with quite a large catalog to his name by now! Articulate both in piano and song structure Jackson Guthy is so talented even Ellen Degeneres had to share his music with the world (video below). Still enjoying life as a teen Guthy is an avid skateboarder and surfer in SoCal.

His latest single "Loving" is catchy enough for radio while remaining lyrically fascinating enough to appeal to all.

New on the scene in 2011 Jackson Guthy is someone to look out for but you won't have to look very hard because this young star is on a rocket to the top!

2011 Revolver Golden Gods Awards

The Third Annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards took place April 20th
and the Metal Legends blessed the black carpet once more. Avenged Sevenfold cleaned house at the awards this year not only taking home multiple awards, but also by ending the night
with a powerful live show that included a Pantera cover of "Mouth for War".

While the award show is certainly a step in the right direction for the metal world
and the anticipation of a growing metal world but there are still many complaints. Metal heads are still annoyed by the "mainstream" attitude of media including this award show. Most in attendance are classic metal heads who are legendary only for their past endeavors while others include modern chart topping acts like the above mentioned A7X. So where's the respect for the new metal scene? The "no-name" metal-ers looking for a break....where are they?

Having Asking Alexandria on the set list was an encouraging move but I wouldn't hold your breath for any 'metal-core' revivals in mass media.

All-in-all the Metal Awards shows are fun and exciting and give metal heads at least 1 award show that's not going to give out an award to fucking Jethro Tull!!!

PREMIERE: Hot Korn Track feat. Skrillex!!!!

Skrillex with James "Munky" Shaffer (left) & Jonathan Davis of Korn (Photo: Sébastien Paquet)

Hot Los Angeles DJ Skrillex's set at this weekend's Coachella Festival is sure to be
a bangin' dance party, and during his performance he'll be playing his new collabo with
Korn, "Get Up." But you don't need a ticket to the Indio, CA, event to hear the track
 SPIN is Premiering It!!!!
"Get Up," tentatively due on a new Korn EP in May, is a skittering blitzkrieg
of heavy electro beats and guitars. "I heard a few of Skrillex's re-mixes and really felt
there would be a good chance that he would have the right sensibility to
connect us to a new hard sound and direction, but still keeping Korn guitars and
our vibe," frontman Jonathan Davis tells SPIN. "We were just thinking of trying
something new, to be honest, so I had my manager reach out to the Skrillex camp.
When we got into the studio the connection was instant!"
